Katya Loelkes

Hi! I’m Katya, a photographer born and raised in Dana Point, California. Growing up along the coast shaped so much of who I am, from long days at the beach to years spent competing in travel sports and running Division 1 varsity track in high school. That drive, discipline, and love for the outdoors eventually led me to photography.

I first fell in love with landscape and ocean photography in high school, when I realized I had a natural eye for capturing the coastline I’d grown up on. Since then, my camera has come with me everywhere, from local sunset missions in South Orange County to my travels around the world. My goal is always the same: to preserve moments, places, and feelings exactly as they are.

Today, I specialize in landscape prints, couples and family portraits, and food photography for local restaurants. Whether I’m documenting a quiet morning wave, a family’s connection, or the artistry of a beautifully plated dish, I bring the same passion, intention, and love for storytelling into every shoot.
